Basketball

  • Department of Parks and Recreation
    • Adult DMV Basketball: “DPR offers Adult Basketball Leagues with a variety of programs of competition for adults. Organized leagues will increase skill level and develop strong character. The leagues are governed by National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) rules and regulations. Participants must be 18 years old and above. Teams consist of a team roster of 12 players. Leagues are located at various sites throughout the city.”
    • BasDPR lists all of the courts on their site. Use their interactive map to find a court near you. Some indoor courts only have open gym during certain hours so call ahead to confirm the courts are available.
  • All In Hoops
    • “All In Hoops is the Longest Running Basketball League in the Washington, DC area and hosts Elite Men’s, Coed and Women’s Hoops leagues in Dupont Circle, Howard and Kenilworth.”
  • DC Gay Basketball League
    • “The purpose of the D.C. Gay Basketball League is to provide a fun, supportive and safe venue for, but not limited to, the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) community and ally athletes of various skill levels who enjoy the game of basketball. The DCGBL goal is to foster a safe, positive environment on and off the field that encourages athletic competition, camaraderie, and community for its participants and also to create lasting and meaningful relationships among people from all walks of life in the Greater Washington D.C. area.”

  • District Sports
    • “District Sports is a non-for-profit organization connecting DC residents through soccer. Run by soccer players for soccer players, we are committed to providing you the best playing experience – regardless of skill level. Each year we organize hundreds of leagues and tournaments for thousands of local participants and all with the goal of keeping people active, building community and re-investing in the city where we play. In 2022, we directed over $75,000 in grants and donations to athletic programs that support DC youth.”
  • DC Premier League
    • “The DC Premier League is a Maryland State Soccer Association-affiliated adult amateur 11v11 league. It features ten 90 minutes matches, 3 USSF-certified referees, and an elite level of competition. The DCPL features both Women’s (DCPLW) and Men’s (DCPLM) divisions. DCPLW plays on Saturdays and DCPLM plays on Sundays. We are the only high-level league in the DC metro area which features all-inclusive fees, seasons that are fully scheduled in advance, and games that are played exclusively on fields in DC.”

    • “Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) Citywide Tennis offers a wide range of tennis classes for youth to adults. These classes will provide you the opportunity to learn, improve, and challenge yourself in a fun, safe learning environment. Classes are held outdoors in the Spring, Summer, and Fall. We provide limited class opportunities outdoors in the Winter, dependent upon the weather. DPR offers year-round indoor tennis classes at Southeast Tennis & Learning Center. We host our classes at various court locations each weeknight, along with some weekday and weekend opportunities. DPR also offers a variety of specialty tennis classes, leagues, and events that make us one of the best public tennis programs in the nation. All tennis classes are weekly and typically run from between 4-9 weeks, and specialty classes, leagues, and events are seasonal.     • About: “East Potomac Tennis Center is that white bubble you see once you cross into DC from VA at Hains Point. EPTC offers five indoor hard courts under a state-of-the-art facility.     • “Northeast Track Club (NETC) started on June 9, 2020. Faced with the challenges of the global COVID-19 pandemic, a group of friends met outdoors to run fast laps on an empty track. Little did we know that finding space with each other would offer a whole community so much more. We snapped a photo and threw it up on social media. From there, week after week, athletes showed up to be part of this movement. No questions asked. No memberships. Northeast Track Club (NETC) is an inclusive running community dedicated to elevating others through sport, camaraderie & service to our city. The rink is covered, but open on the sides and always accessible, so those with their own skates are welcome to use the facility from dawn to dusk. However, if you want to borrow skates, purchase refreshments at the concession stand, or skate to music (DJs on the weekends), you must visit during business hours, typically Memorial Day through Labor Day, 9 AM to 5 PM.
